Together, the values included on this page shape the way I respond to roommate conflicts, congruency with university mission, relationships with friends, and all of the expansive territory in between. They all begin with respect for each person’s unique life experiences and a genuine desire to support student’s academic and personal success throughout their time on campus and beyond. I believe my rose-colored glasses, desire to know and support people’s authentic selves, and commitment to the truth even in the face of difficulty equip me to be successful as a student affairs professional. I also accept that these values may guide my story in a different direction. If ever there is a time that my work in student affairs leaves me jaded or unable to build personal connections with others, it is no longer the right work. Through the fields and valleys of graduate school, my authentic self has emerged unshaken, and I am thrilled to begin the next chapter of my story.
